SKI CLUB OF NEW JERSEY – RACE TRAINING INFORMATION
The 2009/10 Alpine Race Season is fast approaching and once again Alpine Race Training for Adults will take place on Monday nights from 7-9pm starting on the first Monday night of January 2010 AT MOUNTAIN CREEK. It is possible that there will be an extra session available for training prior to the first Weds Night Race of 2008 and we will keep you all informed as the time draws nearer. There are a few changes in the venue for this year so please make a note of the following:

1) Race training and all race related activities will now be based at Vernon and not South as in previous years. The race room and facilities to change are located in the Cobblestone Village, across from the ski area. There will be an area that is specifically designated for adults to leave bags, change into race gear and meet prior to training and races.

2) In order to access the slopes and the training hill, one must cross the footbridge over Rt# 94 that leads to the lift. You might want to bring your 'cattracks' as there will be no convenient area to change into ski boots on the slopeside of the road.

3) At the present time, we will be on Zero-G, Lower Eagle and Doe Run which will now be closed to the general public during racing and training.

4) As usual Monday Night Training will be on a per diem basis as far as cost and thus far no changes have been related to us. There are several special deals that include all Monday Night Training Sessions, Weds Night Race Entries and/or an all access seasons pass. For more info on those special deals, email mcracing@mountaincreek.com.

5) Last, but not least and as always, the required dress code for race training includes a helmet. We want for all of you to enjoy a long and fun recreational racing career...wear a helmet designed for skiing.

All Monday Night Training Sessions will be run by U.S.S.A. Certified Professional Coaches and are open to all adults of all levels of racing. So if you are a hardcore racer that wants to win at the Masters level or just a Nastar Junkie there is something for you here. If you have any questions, contact Hank Willen or Mark Conlin at SCNJ.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing all of you this season.
